This is the second book in the series and playboy footballer Damon is in for one heck of a surprise. One single text message changes Damon's life forever. His one nightstand with Adeline leads to one unexpected little miracle. Damon surprised me in the best way possible because he steps up. We also see a change in him that starts to make him all the more swoony. Don't even get me started with Damon in dad mode, total swoon fest! Adeline's life has changed as well because she now has to deal with having a baby with a high profile football player. I was not a fan of some of Damon's family they had to redeem themselves with me big time. One of my favorite parts of this book was the humor. The banter between Damon and Adeline was top notch! There is also plenty of heart and heat in this one as well. No denying Damon and Adeline have the chemistry. Of course Damon will need that grand gesture because he is a man and he is going to mess up, but he knows what is one the line! Really good book that had me hooked right from the beginning. Damon and Adeline had me gobbling up the pages. They are so adorable together. The little tease of the next book has me eagerly awaiting it!!

Just knew that Damon was going to end up being a sweetheart. Playboy make over when the pitter patter of little feet was on the horizon. They may not have had the most conventional start but you just know fate played a hand in getting Damon and Adeline together. Tensions will build with the new roles they find themselves in so let's hope both can rise to the occasion and get the happy ending they both deserve with the family they have created.

So at the end of the first book Damon finds out that his one night stand from a few months prior resulted in a little one on the way. Queue life changing moment from then on with having to step up to be a father. Getting Adeline back in his life is a bonus that starts to make him wonder about having something more. He just doesn’t know how to go about it from never being a relationship kind of person. From the start though he knows he wants to be a great father, he sure knows how to step into that role.

Adeline had some time to get her head around being a mother so needed to slow down with how Damon was taking things in. Shock from a one night stand that neither was really expecting. She wanted to let go of her worries and just be free for one night with someone she knew would hit the spot, which he did. She just didn’t think she would get a permanent reminder of that night. Not that she would change anything with how things go. Fate plays her hand in ways unexpected and wants these two together.

You know the chemistry is there between them, they can both remember that night, but they have more to think about and possibly lose if things go pear shaped. Something Adeline is always thinking about, not wanting to start something in case it goes wrong and they have to pretend to be civil for the sake of their child. They just need to get out of each others way to see what is right in front of them. Yes they can be great co-parents but they could be even better as a team together always.

Such a fun read that draws you in and holds you there until the end. Can the playboy turn into the person she needs him to be? Slow burn where they were trying to find a way to turn from one night stand, to co-parents to lovers. Let’s hope they can stick there without something getting in their way.

Fun characters that keep you hooked within the world that has been created. All side characters have a nice blend personality wise and create a good mix. Can’t wait to get stuck into Cooper and Ellery’s book next. Let’s see how these friends to lovers will turn out.

I received a copy of this book from Valentine PR for my honest review.

DNF @ 50%

For a book with "lust" in the title, you'd expect it to be just a bit sexy.

I should have known I would be disappointed when the book starts with the FMC already 6 months pregnant and we spend chapters of her dodging the footballer she had a ONS with, who's just trying to meet up to find out if the baby is his.

We get prenatal appointments, discussions about lawyers, trust funds, and non-disclosure agreements, and a lot of other boring crap. What we don't get is so much as a kiss by 50% in. There's not even a good flashback scene of the night they hooked up.

The couple is dull. There's no chemistry or heat. I was bored and just couldn't keep going.

I do enjoy a good duet narration, and this was wonderful background for a day of chores. Lightweight, folks getting their act together after being forced to— mostly men not dealing with their emotions.
This is a fun series though, this author is so reliable with junk food style stories— fun to eat but not too filling

Loved it, so freaking good! But, the one thing I don't like about Piper Rayne books is how quickly they wrap up and how quickly a FMC takes a MMC back after the third act confilct. This one especcialy, I felt like it need more groveling, more come to jesus, more something instead of boom i love her and HEA.
