The climax was in the last like 2-3 chapters. Then was resolved a little too quickly.
I loved this sweet & steamy, surprise pregnancy romance! Damon is a popular football player and Adeline is a small town teacher who meet one night and have instant chemistry. They have a night of sizzling passion before moving on to their separate lives. But Adeline becomes pregnant and is nervous to tell Damon. Damon may enjoy no strings relationships but he is also determined to take responsibility for his baby. Damon and Adeline are complete opposites. Damon is wealthy and likes to take chances, while Adeline lives modestly and likes to follow the rules. They decide to work together to help Adeline get thru her pregnancy, and try to learn about each other to make co-parenting easier. But as they get to know each other, their attraction grows. But how can they make a life together when they are such opposites and live in different worlds? Damon and Adeline are so cute together, having fun, supporting each other as they build a family together, and their chemistry was electric! Damon is so swoony as he falls hard and cares for his new baby and how protective, possessive and thoughtful he is with both Adeline and their baby. I really enjoyed all their friends and family who added so much support and fun to this story as well.
Aiden Snow and Stella Bloom narrate this moving, fun, and passionate story flawlessly. I loved how they nailed these characters so perfectly, making them their own. I was completely lost in their performance, making me feel all the sexual tension between Damon and Adeline along with all the other complex emotions they both went through. They made this hilarious, sweet, emotional and steamy story a joy to listen to.

I am obsessed with the Chicago Grizzlies characters! Their stories pull me in, and I find myself wanting to just stay in this world. I'd also like to befriend the characters.
There was so much that I loved about this book. From how the couple initially met, to the reveal/confrontation, to how their relationship grew and evolved, and also witnessing them overcome the obstacles thrown their way. Of course the side characters also appealed to me. I can't help but fall for them as well.
So why not 5 stars? Well honestly there was a storyline left open, and then what happened with some characters? They just dropped off the face of the earth. I have questions that I would like answered.
Those little things though did not take away my enjoyment of the story, or the way I fell for our couple. Looking forward to the third book, and to see how those two fall.

Rayne delivers the right balance of adorable and tempting. Something Like Lust, brings heartache and humor to life. Snow and Hunter push emotions to the brink with their endearingly, delicious delivery. With surprise twists and steamy attraction, Adeline and Damon are the type of heartbreak, you can't put down.
I think that if you haven’t read Something Like Hate you’re probably going to be a little confused about Damon. Everyone is referencing how he is this playboy who sleeps around but since this book starts when he finds out about Adeline’s pregnancy we don’t see it. Instead he shows himself to be an amazingly caring, responsible, and giving guy. Going by just what you see here, he’s so very easy to fall in love with. Which of course Adeline does, complicating their co-parenting situation.
I’m not a fan of hiding and teasing a main character’s reason for doing things. We know there is something in Damon’s past that causes him to be afraid to commit but it isn’t until basically the end that we find out what it was. And for me it wasn’t developed quite enough to be a satisfying issue/resolution. But since the rest of their relationship was so dang adorable and I really like them together, I’m not letting it affect my satisfaction with the rest of their story.
Maybe not my favorite of Rayne’s stories, but definitely a good read and maybe one of my favorite male leads on their’s. I love Damon as the reforming rake fighting his feelings and he’s beyond adorable as the doting dad. Adeline is a good match for him. She’s down-to-earth but feisty and won’t let anyone walk all over her when it comes to her child and what she feels is best. But she also understands Damon’s position and is willing to work with him. It creates minimal drama but a whole lot of sweetness and fun.

Piper Rayne does it again. I loved Damon and Adeline’s story even though it had secret pregnancy and redeemed playboy tropes which are usually not my go-tos. The characters in this story are so easy to love. I get sucked into the story after the first line and I cannot put the book down.
