I was completely drawn into the whirlwind romance between Adeline, a relatable middle school teacher, and Damon Siska, the charismatic wide receiver with a playboy reputation. Their one-night stand unexpectedly results in pregnancy, leading them on a journey of self-discovery, love, and co-parenting. The story is a delightful blend of humor, warmth, and genuine emotion, making every moment between Adeline and Damon feel authentic and deeply touching. The evolution from lust to profound love is beautifully portrayed, offering a compelling take on the accidental pregnancy trope. This book is a testament to the unpredictable nature of love and the beauty of unexpected partnerships, leaving a lasting impression with its heartfelt and humorous storytelling.

♥️ I got all three books in this series from the library at the same time so I’ll probably finish it, but this felt very young adult romance to me even though it had open door scenes in it
4 1/2 Stars
Something Like Lust is book 2 in the Chicago Grizzlies series. It's a one night stand, accidental pregnancy, football romance. As Always from these two authors another fantastic read. I loved how strong and feisty Adeline was. Damon and his stubborn ways and struggle to not have a relationship or fall in love made me crazy! But how loving and caring he was with Adeline while she was pregnant melted my heart. And the way he was with their baby?!? Swoon!! The chemistry between Adeline and Damon was off the charts hot. This one had so many feels. I cannot wait from more books in this series.

Another in the Chicago Grizzlies series and this is Damon Siska's story. Damon finds out via text that his one night stand is six months pregnant. As he goes in search of Adeline Morgan, who claims she is pregnant with his baby, Damon is skeptical, until he sees her and realizes she is not they type to be a gold digger, and that the baby is most probably his. The first very positive part of this story is that we don't waste a considerable amount of pages watching Adeline decide whether or not she is going to tell Damon. The story starts when Damon finds out, so we can jump straight into them navigating their new reality. Damon maintains he is not capable of love, because of something in his past, so he is only interested in a friends with benefits situation. But will Adeline be willing to settle for that?
Once again, the rest of the grizzlies play a role in this story and I love Miles and Cooper so much. I'm really looking forward to Cooper's story next!
This was a sweet, fun read with humor and heat and just the right amount of lust! Love it.

I’ve been waiting for Damon’s story for a long time. This man is a playboy but also a jokester who loved tease his friends every time he can. I wasn’t expected a slow burn for him but it was exactly the best way to bring him back to love
Oh, how the mighty have fallen! I've been looking forward to reading Damon Siska's book ever since he shared a particularly intriguing tidbit with Miles Cavanaugh in Something Like Hate. In Something Like Lust, Damon learns that the woman he shared a one-night stand with six months ago is pregnant. He's shocked, but Adeline Morgan doesn't seem to be the kind of person who got pregnant on purpose simply because of who Damon is. Sure, the twenty-nine-year-old is the wide receiver for the Chicago Grizzlies, and his family is wealthy beyond belief, but middle school teacher Adeline is no gold digger nor is she an attention seeker. She loves the small town she lives and works in. Now, they agree to be co-parents...and housemates, at least while Damon is on break from football. They get to know each other better and are actually becoming friends. And that's all they can ever be because Damon doesn't do love and relationships, and Adeline deserves far more than he can give. But no one ever said anything about lust...
As much as Damon has a well-founded reputation for being a good-time guy, he certainly was not shallow. There was more to him than being a player on and off the field. I think he needed someone like Adeline in his life--a woman who, as attracted as she may have been with Damon, was independent and challenged him. There was undeniable chemistry between the two, but lust doesn't always lead to love, and I'm glad that there was no mad rush for them to go from one to the other. After all, there was their baby to consider, as well as greater sense of responsibility and better stability for them as parents and friends. There was a lot of humor, but there were also slightly heavier moments, especially when it came to Damon's family and the general public who were fans of the team and Damon. I loved that these two were such strong main characters who also had vulnerability to them, and that something like lust could develop into love when nurtured and grow into more when trusted. 4.5 stars go to Something Like Lust.

Oh, let me squeal from the rooftops about how much I love me some Damon Siska! This man is making Chase Andrews work very hard to keep his place in my heart.
Damon is playboy royalty – There is never a dull moment in his bed.
Sweet Adeline, middle school teacher looking for a hot one-night stand – walks away with more than she’d bargained for.
This surprise pregnancy and sports romance was so much fun to follow. Watching these two grow into adoring parents and partners for one another was so sweet. Each one took on their role as parent with love, kindness and admiration for each other. They made Co-Parenting seem so seamless, however, falling in love wasn’t that easy for the two. With past heartaches looming over them, this couple had a lot to fight for.
I loved Stella Hunter and Aiden Snow performance as Adeline and Damon. They were paired together perfect. Stella Hunter could also just read me work emails and I would be okay with that.
