I have to give one thing to the author - I laughed when
Rosalie said “I bet you thought I was a corpse my  husband propped up in the window to scare the motel guests.”
She got me there for sure!! This book definitely has Psycho and Rear Window vibes (more of a tribute than a ripoff).

The ableism and saneism in this book were THICK. Woof.
I guess Rosalie’s internalized ableism was understandable to a degree, and it got much better once she treated her depression. And Nick pretty much viewed her as capable the whole time. But it still made me cringe.

What was inexcusable though was
the whole “Claudia tried to kill all these people because she’s bipolar” thing. Gross and unacceptable.

Overall I felt like the book was corny and often forced. I definitely guessed the “big twist” in the epilogue but not some of the ones in the middle, like
that Claudia was the mistress.
So it was a mixed bag. But overall I don’t recommend it.

Started out slowly and rather cloyingly. Sped up and still bored me. Not her best work

As Jack Edwards once said “I support women’s rights but I also support women’s wrongs.” I loved the setting at the creepy motel and how there are 4 POVs and I thought I had it figured out but I was shocked at the end. We love an unhinged FMC.

Another fun popcorn read from Freida McFadden. Our MC Quinn is stuck in an eerie motel with a bad history. What could go wrong?

I enjoyed the ride this book took me through. Some reveals wowed me while others didn’t. Still a fun, quick thriller to read! I think this author is becoming a favorite of mine for popcorn thrillers! 🍿 🔪

I prayed to the thriller gods to send me my first 5 star read of the month … and boy, did they deliver!!!

I should have known that freida would be my cure all to my minor reading slump I was in 🥲

DO NOT DISTURB switches tactics so many times I lost count, and I loved every minute of it! a super bingeable read, this one centers around quinn, a woman escaping her own crime only to find herself in the center of another mystery … and another … and another 🫢🤯

once again, I was completely fooled by all of the plot twists! I really thought this one was going to about quinn’s run from the law, which didn’t sound too interesting, but I’m delighted to report how wrong I was! every page unveiled a new clue that eventually led to the final puzzle

I’m completely obsessed with freida’s writing per usual!
