4.5 cliffhanger alert! ouch

Ok, so that was a brutal cliffhanger of an ending. Thankfully, the next book is already out! Well written, 4.5 rounded up

Book The Witch’s Monsters series by Sarah Piper
Sarah Piper is the absolute best at RH and picks the amazing narrators like Mackenzie Cartwright, Jason Clarke, Aaron Shedlock, and Teddy Hamilton.
This series has a lot darker feel to it compared to other series especially has this one is based in a version of living hell (Midnight).
Haley is a powerful blood witch with so many secrets but a lot history and so much more not explained.

Series review: Fun! Enjoyable heroine, likeable heroes with distinct personalities and relationships, interesting and full world, engaging plot. I didn't love the book 4 cliffhanger but otherwise the series arc felt solid. I had no idea this was a spinoff from another series, which confused me early on when it seemed like I was expected to know backstory, but it didn't ultimately matter to understanding this series.

Things really are moving now with Haley and her monsters.

Keradoc isn't what he seemed, or rather, who he seemed.

Malantha's evil forces are moving in on our unlikely band of heroes.

And then just when things are really getting into the thick of it...BAM! Patented Piper cliffhanger!

So good!  The story just keeps getting better, and with every question answered, new ones pop up.  I am in love with this world!

~*~ Audio Review ~*~
We continue Haley, Elian, Jax and Hudson’s story and I can’t get enough of it. It was full of twist and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. Despite being at odds they all still trust and protect one another. The ending had me in shock and screaming for it not to end like that. I am impatiently waiting for the final book in this series. The narration from Mackenzie Cartwright, Aaron Shedlock, Jason Clarke and Teddy Hamilton is amazing and Teddy wrecked me in this book. I cannot wait to see how this series ends.

This books cliffhanger had me wanting to punch a whole in my wall. No lie! My man Elian dies and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Haley and her men are being attacked on all sides while trying to recruit the people of midnight to fight for their home. Haley really starts to understand her powers like the true bad a** she is!

Lots of secrets from many of the characters were publicly revealed to other members in their group, and Keradoc was finally thrown into the romance mix. While the twists and turns were fun and not always predictable, the overall pacing was problematic to me. There was absolutely no progress on the Melandra goddess war front, just lots of discussion and talk about what to do. The arguments that Keradoc tried to use on Haley to convince her to help the realm were very weak IMO, but hey, it got her to do what he wanted. I found a lot of characters just to be annoying at this point, and the arguments they had with each other were quite repetitive. The ending cliffhanger was absolutely terrible.

I'll continue the series in an attempt for closure and see how everyone gets out of their respective issues, but if it drags on much longer, I'll likely abandon the series.
