This book has all the yumminess and feels. Ride a cowboy! My only complaint is I like the original cover better.
“I’ve always heard that Karma’s a Bitch, but now I might actually believe it. Alex Bishop has finally met his match. Perfect. Can’t wait to watch how this plays out.”
Kennedy Fox has done it again! How they manage to make me fall for their guys EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. is truly beyond me. They just create the perfect “book boyfriends” and this helps me confirm that, time and time again, book boyfriends simply do it better. :)
Alex is your typical confident player, but a gentleman before anything else. Ask me how that’s even possible and I honestly have no clue - Kennedy Fox has made it possible with Alex Bishop. He charms you with his sweet talk and southern drawl, and every time he ends a statement with a wink you just melt into a pool of butter.
I really enjoyed River’s character. So sweet and caring, at times a little unsure of herself and her decisions, but aren’t we all? Life has thrown her some hard balls and she’s managed to come out on the other side as a strong, independent woman.
Alex and River’s chemistry is wonderfully steamy, which is Kennedy Fox’s specialty! I’m going to go ahead and say that the romance was more of a medium burn. It wasn’t exactly slow, but it wasn’t instantaneous either. The pacing in this one was what I can only describe as slow to medium, which I absolutely loved because we get to know more about each character, especially the other Bishop brothers. If there is one thing I love in any novel is getting to know the main and side characters. I love getting in their brains, it just helps with my empathy towards them. Taming Him definitely delivered this and left me wanting the rest of the series like YESTERDAY!
“I don’t need easy. Hell, I want crazy and everything that it entails. As long as it’s with you.”
I am counting the days until we get more of my newest obsession, the Bishop brothers.
*I received an eARC of Taming Him in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.*

Cute story
Cowboy meets city girl on vacation and they decide to have a 2 week fling. Feelings start becoming strong. I enjoyed this story. The bishop clan is funny and full of chaos.

This was a very good story. I’m always a little iffy about stories that have to do with accidental pregnancies but this one made it easy to love. The chemistry between Alex & River was steaming hot even though River was very stubborn. I just wanted them to be together in the end. Not as much drama as some of the other Kennedy Fox box but very enjoyable.

Audiobook Review
Such a fun, sexy and emotional romance! Alex Bishop is the ultimate playboy. Aiden Snow narrates with the smooth and sexy southern accent that had me basically swooning non stop. He and River had amazing chemistry. Neither of them were looking for something long term when they met on vacation but they both feel a pull and know they have something more special than a one night stand. This romance unfolded with the best surprise and my heart was so full watching these two fall in love. I fell in love with the whole Bishop family and I'm excited for the other brothers' stories.

This book was absolutely amazing, from hot Cowboys, holiday romance to second chances.
I got sucked in right from the very start of this book. the chemistry between the two main characters was of the charts.
Alex is such a good southern gentleman, bit of a charmer and general ladies man. Ribee has just broken up with an ex-boyfriend and is just looking for a holiday romance with no strings attached. The part ways but circumstances bring them back together.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and see more on Alex brothers

I finally started the Bishop Brothers series and I am thrilled with it.
Alex works at his family ranch, he goes on a trip with his friend where he meets River. While they are both there for two weeks they start a vacation fling, their lives are very different and far away to try for more.
But when River finds out that their time together had some unexpected consequences they have some big decisions to make.
The book is divided into two parts, the first is very fun and steamy that I ended up reading it in one sitting. The second part gets more serious but it's equal wonderful.
Alex is the whole package, he is sweet and thoughtful and let's not forget that he is a cowboy. River is a great heroine, strong and courageous.
Their romance is whirlwind at first but they give time to their relationship by building a solid foundation based on trust and it's marvelous.

I’ve been in love with Kennedy Fox since I first read This is War and immediately added them to my auto buy list. Since then, I’ve read every book they’ve written, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I was sad when I found out the Checkmate duets were ending, but got over it pretty quickly when they announced they were writing a series about Courtney’s four cowboy brothers. Because really, who doesn’t love a hot cowboy story?
Taming Him is the story of Alex, the youngest of the four Bishop boys. He’s young, wild, and not looking to settle down. When his best friend Dylan invites him on a trip to Key West, he goes along dreaming about all the woman he’s going to meet. What he doesn’t except to find is River, a pediatric nurse from Wisconsin who knocks Alex right on his butt. These two spend a wild week together, and part ways without a proper goodbye. Alex pines over River for months, until one day she shows up at his doorstep with a bun in the oven.
I loved Alex. He was funny, and sweet, not to mention attractive. He started off as such a playboy, but I loved seeing him grow up when it came to River and their baby. He was so kind and caring with her, and it made my heart burst with joy. Plus, he’s a man who loves his mama, and there isn’t anything more attractive to me than that. I also loved Alex’s relationship with his brothers and his best friend Dylan. They were always giving each other a hard time and their antics made me giggle.
I enjoyed River too, but felt she was missing some of the depth I’ve come to expect from Kennedy Ryan’s heroines. At times I found her to be just a bit boring, and because of that the story itself was a bit slow for me. The one thing though that I could really relate to is her pregnancy, and her thoughts at being pregnant in the heat of the summer. I may have found myself nodding my head in agreement quite a few times!
The ending of Taming Me left me in tears, and had me wiping my eyes and blowing my nose. It was so sweet, and beautifully done. Plus, since having my own babies, birth stories always make me tear up, whether they’re real or fictional. I’m an emotional wreck anymore! All in all, I found Taming Me to be a bit slow in parts and lacking some of the drama I love so much with a Kennedy Fox book. However, I still enjoyed this sweet, romantic story about two people who found their person while on a wild vacation!

Your average contemporary romance book I guess. It was a little too predictable and nothing ‘really’ happened. Though I did like the characters thought, and the fact that it had a HEA. If I’m ever out of books to read I might read more in this series, but for now I’m good. I guess I want something a little more unpredictable.
