I genuinely had to force myself to at least skim through the second half of this because i hoped it would get better but I just couldn’t do it, I can take the pregnancy trope when I know beforehand but there was not one mention of it until the second part and it annoyed the shit out of me because the first part was good
I love a good cowboy romance and this mostly fit the bill. I was just left wanting a little more from the couple. It felt like so happened off the page. The family was nice and i felt everyone’s reactions were genuine.

⭐️ 4 "Irresistible Cowboy Charm" Stars ⭐️
Kennedy Fox bring all the laughter, sweetness and sexiness in this first installment of The Bishop Brothers series! I enjoyed Taming Him a lot and was soon captivated by Alex and River’s romance!
“A Bishop always gets what he wants, and I want – no – I need more of her, especially after a night of pure ecstasy.”
Alex Bishop, with his southern charm, made me fall in love with him. This sexy cowboy! Seriously, he’s the sweetest! He’s cocky and likes to flirt, but inside he’s really a good guy at heart. He’s been playing the fields and leaving broken hearts behind, but when he meets River Lancaster on a vacation in Key West, everything changes. River is the perfect girl for him with her witty replies and caring side. The banters between these two and the burning attraction are fantastic. Their bonding is more than physical though, as they open up to each other about their life back home.
“I absolutely love it when he palms my cheeks as if I’m the most precious and important thing to him.”
After returning from his two-week vacation, Alex isn’t the same. The sexy girl is unforgettable! When she appears in his small Texas town three months later with a big announcement, it’s a second chance with her he won’t miss.
The story is fast-paced and brings lots of chuckles, swoon worthy instants and passionate scenes. Their chemistry is so powerful that every passage they’re together made me sigh and smile so big from the beauty of them.
“We may barely know each other, but there’s something that pulls me to her, like an invisible lasso. She’s holding the rope and calling the shots.”
I loved the scenes between the Bishop brothers where they’re annoying each other. I definitely crave some more of these sexy cowboys. The little glimpses we got at each one of them promised a very interesting rest of the series.
Kennedy Fox once again created an appealing hero and a sweet heroine to match. There’s not as much action or drama as their previous novels, but it’s all about the charm of a beautiful romance. Taming Him will certainly leave you with a huge grin on your face and a light heart!
“You’ll be by my side as long as there’s breath in my lungs and a beat in my heart.”

HOLY Heck! What a wild ride in the country! The Bishop Brothers are going to be so much fun! This first book was out of control, funny, sexy, heart gripping and loving. Those are the ingredients that make Kennedy Fox books the BEST. I love the way this book was written, the characters are phenomenal, the way the small town feel is described is perfect. Cannot wait for Evan!!!

It was a free download so I gave it a shot. But I just did not enjoy it. The characters seemed pretty immature, mainly Alex.
Taming Him is a heartwarming and adventurous contemporary romance with a touch of Southern charm, cowboy romance, and a dash of surprise and accidental pregnancy, all wrapped in a sweet, sexy tale of self-discovery and second chances.
Lately, I found authors like the duo Kennedy Fox, don't write a third break-up act, they have a minor conflict, but it resolves in the same chapter. I appreciate it when the writer decides the main characters have good communication skills.
I like River & Alex's relationship; they have good communication skills, and the Bishop clan is a funny and very accepting family, even when things happen unorthodoxly, like a surprise pregnancy.
