Not my usual genre but I did enjoy this on a whole! 

Main gripes is that the

third act breakup

was a tad ridiculous. Like the reason it happened was kinda silly, other than the fact that

Alex was holding a grudge.

I also do think ‘the thing that happened in Croatia’ really wasn’t THAT bad to make them not talk for two years…

I did enjoy the flashbacks and felt they were well timed throughout the novel. I liked Poppy’s character as well as Alex’s.
