This book felt like more foundations were being laid to set up the rest of the series, with lots of new characters and jumping back and forth between different places. Despite the story growing in complexity, it felt slow for me overall. I didn't immediately connect with some of the new characters and struggled to get invested in their stories.

📖 In this fourth installment of Throne of Glass, Celaena’s journey shifts. We see her broken, grieving, and fighting her inner demons — but also slowly rising into her true identity. The introduction of Rowan (my heart!!), the training sequences, and the emotional weight of her past finally unraveling made this book feel epic.

✨ What I loved:

• Celaena’s growth from self-destruction to strength.

• Rowan. Enough said.

• The world expansion with witches, wyverns, and magic systems coming alive.

• A perfect balance of action and emotion — it made me cry and cheer.

This book turned the series from good to absolutely legendary for me. I could feel the shift — like SJM cranked the volume up on everything.
