As always some fun from Terry Pratchett hand. Those who've read him know what to expect, and this who haven't should read something by the author. Not necessarily this one, as I'm not sure if I would see it as one of the best. However it definitely is one of his better works! Recommend, but not overly so.

**AUDIBLE**
Hilarious, as you would expect from Terry Pratchett. Obviously, by listening to the book rather than reading it, it is going to be a lot more immersive, which this was, but the voice actors were superb and added even more to the immersion and atmosphere. The spooky music right at the beginning made me feel excited for the book and made it sound more like a movie.
The story itself was loosely based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth and was told from the witches’ perspective (who had me howling with laughter) and the antics of all the character brought the usual mayhem, one-liners and puns. All great fun!
My only teeny, tiny gripe with this was the Afterword. In my opinion this should have been put at the beginning of the book rather than the end as it explains what the book is about as well as someone who told of their meeting with STP in a bookshop once. I couldn’t really understand their relevance to it all but that is probably more my ignorance than anything else. I would be interested to know what role this person had in the book or the audio.
Nevertheless, one of the better Discworld novels I’ve read although all are brilliant.

“We’re bound to be truthful,” she said. “But there’s no call to be honest.”” Words to live by.
I love witches, I love women, I love women being friends, I love pathetic men who fall desperately in love with a much more put together woman than themselves and then that woman helps them become a more functional human, and I LOVE intertextuality.
This book was so fun, it’s my third Discworld book and i’m seriously thinking of reading them all in order now. So far they’ve all been very entertaining, they are thoughtful, and they’re always funny as hell too.
