“She’s all bright splashes of color on the gray canvas I’ve been staring at while half awake.” This was a great book! My first spicer romance but it was 🥵🥵🥵🥵. Just enough for me and none of my triggers! I loved how it was mostly romance but added the mystery murder component (which I love). It could’ve been a little better with the plot/story line and since I like audiobooking, I tried, but the male voice absolutely did NOT match with the character so I would only listen to Taylor’s part. Definitely a great quick read to add to the shelf (especially the pretty sprayed edge version)!

dnf'd at 15%, characters too pompous and the instalove plus age gap were big red flags.

The inconsistencies in this book ruined the last half. They are getting funky in the shower WHEN SHE HAS A HEAD INJURY. LIKE FULL BANDAGE AROUND HER HEAD!!

I think this might be the spiciest book I’ve read by Tessa Bailey. Some scenes we’re definitely

The premise of A Killer Vacation is intriguing but its delivery just didn’t cut it. I love a mystery and that’s what kept me going, but, and I’m not sure how to say this nicely, I was bored. The overall idea of the plot was promising, but it felt like a whole bunch of scenes had been written independently of each other and then woven together to create a book. There are masses of continuity errors, and also several plot points that get mentioned once or twice but then never explored or left open-ended and so you just leave the book with more questions than you started with.

It was very much a Tessa bailey book. I thought it was cute, but at some points I got bored of the “big man, delicate little girl” trope. I didn’t completely hate it, but it wasn’t my favorite of hers.
