frankly, i read this one a little too early before the physical copy arrived because i was just so excited to read it having known it's a murder mystery + romance, so this review is quite literally a rotten version of it as compared to the normal fresh ones but it'll do okay... it'll do.
tessa bailey's books has by far been a hit or miss for me and her recent book i've read, hook, line and sinker was an absolute charmer to me compared to its predecessor it happened one summer. but my killer vacation definitely made it into my hit tessa bailey's books list! i LOVED this one much more than i thought i would despite the fact that it's more romance than murder mystery but everything worked out so well that i would literally re-read the physical copy right now in a heartbeat and annotate my favourite parts again!
i'm not even gonna touch on the spice because if you are familiar with tessa bailey's books and its spicy spice then you'd know the level she'd get into but gOSH it made me uncomfortably move from reading and lying down to actually sitting up in shoCK. taylor was such a funny, sunshine-like character which compliments myles dark and grumpy-self. it's more of a fun and light read as opposed to the ones you'd take so seriously. it's just a silly goofy fun time and the murder mystery was okay though i wish we had more of it to balance out the romance of it.
as i said before, tessa bailey's books is often a hit or miss for me and i truly think that the plot and the writing in this one is what made it a hit for me. it's different from how i feel for her previous two books that i read, but it's the good kind of different. there's just so many mixed reviews surrounding her books that i sometimes feel reluctant to pick it up worrying that i might just waste my time but sometimes i am glad that i did it because it charmed me way more than i thought it would, just as the way that my killer vacation did. the premise really was what sold it off for me as i am a fan of murder mystery books myself so the side of spice and romance in here were somewhat a bit of a first time thing for me. like i said earlier, it was just a silly goofy fun time.
definitely would recommend those who are into tessa bailey's books to pick this one up yet if you haven't or if you're into new adult romance with silly goofy, sunshine x grumpy fun time with a side of an interesting murder mystery hehe

How can a man be too simpy and yet also too callous? Also she was just weird. Not a fan
This is my first Tessa Bailey romance and I loved it!! VERY SPICY, to the point where I was literally embarrassed to be reading, but that’s just preference. A few scenes were definitely a bit icky but I can’t wait to read more from this author.
Le he puesto tres estrellas por ponerle algo. No me ha gustado nada porque es muy "Te conozco y ya te amo". No se, ya deja de ser importante la trama.
