Where I liked this book and will admit I had fun with it, I was not as obsessed with it as I had hoped I would be after reading the Bellinger sister series recently. Taylor and Myles were interesting to follow but I just couldn't find myself as connected to them as I had hoped.

I should’ve DNFed this I have no idea why I kept reading
I meant to review this first but anyways I really did like the characters and finding out the murder was interesting only thing that was eh to me was the instant love
Grumpy sunshine and murder mystery
Enjoyed the book, but murder part could have been better, was mostly a romance book.
Jude, aka the best charachter, gets into a conflict and I guess it was not important enough for us to ever find out how that ends. (Fingers crossed for a sequel!)
Was looking at the relationship from a distance and boy, the flags were red. 10/10 would not recommend getting into this relationship. Big guy wanted to protect little girl (decide everything for her) and got emotional when she would not immediately comply (started screaming and throwing a fit). He was not ready to commit because "he was broken and couldn't be fixed". Still no other man could even talk to her because she was his property I guess.
Banter was great though and it's cute that she understands he's joking sometimes instead of scaring the living shit out of people.
Would definitely read the sequel (hinting at Tessa Bailey here)

My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey was my first book by this author, and while I had fun reading it, there were a few aspects that kept it from being a standout for me. The premise of a murder mystery mixed with romance was intriguing, but I found the mystery aspect didn’t get enough attention. I was expecting more suspense and investigation, but it ended up taking a backseat to the romance, which was a bit disappointing.
On the flip side, the romance was definitely the main focus—perhaps even too much so. The chemistry between the protagonists was undeniable, but their intense obsession with each other after just one week felt a bit unrealistic and over the top. I’m all for romance, but this one leaned a little too heavily into insta-love for my taste.
That said, I did enjoy My Killer Vacation. However, for a book marketed as a romance with a murder mystery subplot, it felt more like 70% romance and only 30% mystery. The murder plot was there, but it played a much smaller role in the story, with the romance taking center stage. I was hoping for more suspense and a deeper dive into the mystery, but it ultimately felt more like a backdrop to the love story. Overall, it was a fun read, though I was left wanting a bit more balance.

SO smitten by this book. I loved the banter and the odd couple. What a fun read. Are books like this the reason I have unrealistic expectations about how men should feel about me? (Read: totally head over heels and cannot be away from me for a second and totally attracted to me in the first glance)
