Of Demons and Stones

I've been a fan of Parks since her debut novel "Strangers". When I saw she was writing a romantic suspense I had to check it out. I enjoyed the story and the writing was good as usual. My main issue was with the heroine! Kylie was supposed to be this tough lawyer and go getter. Meanwhile her ex boyfriend was abusive and she stayed silent. John (ex) did some unspeakable things to her and she never told anyone for the sake of her career. Meanwhile they still work together and he is harassing her on a regular basis!! Get it together Girl!!! If I was Kylie I would have reported him long time ago!!

The relationship between Kylie and Alex. Man oh man this relationship was deeper than I thought it would be. Alex wasn't your typical billionaire playboy. He had a real sad and legit reason why he was the way he was. That's was such a heartbreaking moment in the book and I wanted to hug him. Kylie has her own demons as well. What I enjoyed the most about their relationship was that it wasn't perfect. They both had issues and fought a lot. Some of the fights could have been avoided if Kylie wasn't so damn stubborn! Like come girl now is not the time to play around!

Overall I enjoyed the story very much, story has a combination of everything I enjoy! The ending left me pissed in a good way and yes it's a cliffhanger but the next book will be out soon! I can't wait to see what awaits Kylie and Alex in Revenge.

Revenge picks up right where we left off in the last book! Kylie is recovering after being shot by her crazy ex boyfriend. As suspected Kylie has a lot of issues dealing with the post traumatic stress of the situation. I loved Alex but he annoyed me with his need to make all the decisions he felt necessary for Kylie. The same issues they had in the last book reared its ugly head in this book. It was super annoying and I don't blame Kylie one but for being upset. As much as I wanted to like Kylie, she continues to work my nerve. Creepy and weird things keep happening and yet she chooses to be quiet. There's nothing wrong with being strong but you also have to be smart. Once again she should have told Alex from the beginning. I loved seeing the secondary characters Paul and Ryan. This story was very enjoyable and as usual those cliff hanger endings! I can't wait to see how everything unfolds in Vindication.

Alex and Kylie have been through so much as a couple. Now it's time for them to finally have some peace or is it? I loved Alex and Kylie as a couple because everything that they have gone thru should have torn them apart. Instead it made them a stronger and better couple as the series progressed. They loved and supported each other during some very difficult times.I loved seeing her best friends, Paul and Ryan get their happy ending as well.

This was a very nice conclusion to a series and sad to see it come to an end. As always Parks writes a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and waiting to see how everything will unfold. We had some moments that I honestly didn't see coming. I've been a huge fan of Parks since her debut novel “Strangers” and it's great to see an author grow as a writer and one who has an ability to switch things up and still keep you wanting more!

Kylie Tate gets the question of a lifetime. And she’s sharing her happiness with Alex Stone. They are a couple that seem perfect for each other.

This book starts off so happy and no offense to the author but as each chapter goes by I’m anticipating the proverbial shoe to drop. It’s terrible that I put that expectation on the author but that shows how conditioned we can become. There were some scenes that I wished that I could get into Alex’s head so I knew what he was thinking. But I loved how Kylie was letting us see her life through her eyes.

To give this author her due, when that shoe eventually did drop it wasn’t what I expected. I can honestly say it was a surprise and that just made me love this story more. It’s a story of great strength and watching that strength show up again and again in this author’s well-orchestrated scenes is what had me following Kylie and Alex’s story until the very end. And I was glad to finally see what Alex was thinking.

This was the first book of the trilogy that I read. I didn’t feel like I had to read the first two books in order to enjoy Vindication but it is like reading the ending of a book before reading the story. So if you get the chance, I would read Of Demons & Stones and Revenge first. This way you will get the full experience. The ending of this book also left me with a sense that Kylie and Alex’s “adventures” are just beginning. Can’t wait to see what this author is going to pull out of her hat next.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
