Such a fun YA fantasy book!!! Fairyloot and YA fantasy have just been hitting for me this year and I am loving it!! I loved our trio of main characters, Alonso, Corey, and Penny and the dynamic that they had together as a trio and individually. The plot was engaging centered around the three main characters trying to break a curse that has binded two rival families together while trying to save Penny's mother. I did guess one of the ending twists and honestly didn't even care because it has me SO excited to read the next book!! 

side note: this is my formal request to Fairyloot to do a matching edition for book 2 so I can have matching copies 🤣

This was such a fun book to read. It had a multi person POV with 3 teens. One is about to lose her mom if she doesn’t get the other 2 teens, with rival families, to work together to figure out and break a curse. We had a pretty minor love triangle but it’s pretty clear who should be together. Lots of fun twists and turns. I am excited for the second book!
