Review - Alex seems very naive, believing Scorpia over MI5 when he's worked with MI5 for months, and Scorpia just come in and manipulate him. However, he also steps up at the end and this cancels out his earlier stupidity. This book is again very slightly better, though The themes of manipulation and betrayal are incredibly important and lend the book to a darker tone and more conflicting feelings, which improves on the earlier books immensely.

I think it is safe to say that I'm losing steam in this series. The books keep getting slightly longer and more ridiculous each time. The first few felt like a fun homage to Ian Fleming's novels, this one felt like the long convoluted plot of the latter portion of Roger Moore's career. I've got a few more of these on my shelf so I may keep plugging away, but hopefully, the next one is better.
