A really interesting departure from the usual formula of the Alex Rider books - Alex's internal conflict over the legacy he's inherited and the life he's been forced into is super interesting to read. I really liked the villains in this book, again they were a departure from the usual James Bond-esque baddies that had become commonplace. Tom's sudden appearance as Alex's "best friend" is a little jarring, seeing as we haven't so much as heard of him up until this point, but it's understandable from a writing point of view.
The last few chapters had me hooked, lots of twists, and the last two pages??? I need to start Ark Angel immediately.

Another Alex Rider book. I even saw the Alex Rider movie they put out back in 2006. A nice young adult series. I have to say I liked all of them so far.
