As always this was fast-paced with a bit more mystery than the others.
This is another storyline where Alex decides to go solo, it feels a lot more dangerous when he does this.
Even though we don't have Sabina anymore I enjoyed the scenes with Tom, especially the dynamic with his brother.
The whole concept of Scorpia is very interesting and judging by the name of one of the future books it'll be an organisation that is brought back. I like the hidden training school idea, it would definitely make a great series or film storyline, it feels so 007.
In this book we get a more in-depth into Alex's past with a few questions answered by the end. Throughout this book we're never 100% sure how things are going to play out in regards to Alex's loyalties.

This one was okay but I thought it wasnt as good as the first few Alex rider books. It lacked the action and intensity that others had. I finished it but sometimes it was hard, just got a little bored. It wasnt terrible, just not my favorite. Hopefully the next one gets better.

3.5

3.0/5.0

I loved this book!!! I felt really sorry for Alex during the last chapter, though.
I think my favourites so far are this one and Point Blanc. The end confused me a little but I realized that he wouldnt die if there are 4 books to come in the series.
I recommend this book for everyone :)))
This is by far the most emotional Alex Rider book from 1-5.
