This story starts slow but builds in an incredibly beautiful way. It avoid simple answers and is such a love letter to quiet, "fixer" girls who can easily feel overlooked and abandoned even when around the people they love just because they're "easy" and "helpful." Especially when those same girls start to have large, loud emotions that they don't know how to handle.

I also really appreciated that every side character feels like they have an actual life outside of this story? They don't appear simply to fill roles, but because they happen to be in the same spaces as Lily, and clearly have their own things going on, even if we don't get to see them all.
