No depth to story, shallow attraction, flat characters. Dumb heroine (run-away-from-protection-and-into-a-trap dumb) does stupid things so the hero always has to come and save the day. The hero proposes by saying "You're so stupid and reckless, I have to spend the rest of my life to take care of you."
I planned to read the second book but the more I progressed with book, the less I wanted to continue on with this series.

No me convenció del todo la historia. La heroína me pareció un poco insoportable, no fuerte. Y el protagonista fue muy básico. Una pena.

I do like her Myles books, but why she did not keep that name who knows. it would have made it easier for me.
There was a softness and lightness to the book, it's how I like my PNR. We have Bathsheba who works for a dating agency, and Beau who is a shifter and wants to date her. The human! *gasps*
The drama is that her sister is a wolf shifter but is in hiding cos all wolves I saw her were asses. But they want her. Asses. Oh and something is after them, something else.
I understood Batsheeba and her urge to protect her sister, sure she could have told him things, but hey urge to protect was stronger. And Beau was at time a bit too alpha, I mean honestly. But then humans are weaker so he has a point there.
All in all a light fun book.

I thought that Beau was a wonderful hero but some of the heroine's decisions were hard to take. I think instead of being strong and brave, she made horrible decisions that put other people in danger. I didn't understand how she readily agreed to date other shifters even though they creeped her out, among other things (I don't want to give too much away). I understand that she was protecting her sister but it seems that she could have made other decisions instead of those she made in the book. Despite a sometimes frustrating heroine, I thought it was an enjoyable book!

Loved this book! The characters were hot together and Beau was a great alpha male. Can't wait to read the next in the series.

I planned to read this book last year for my bingo challenge but never got around it. I finally ordered it and Demi @ DemiReads suggested that we should buddy read it and here we go.

Bathsheba is the office manager and I love how over protective she's about her sister but it also annoyed the hell out of me like Bath gave up everything in her life, like college and her love life but Sara can't even answer calls which is part of her job and Sara never seemed to thank her sister for everything she's done for her. Sara's safety always came before her heart or safety. Bath never even got gifts. Everything always went to her sister. It's amazing how Bath never got angry or bitter.
"You are mine. I'e already decided it. And if I have to mark you all over that delicious body of yours to prove it, I will."
Beau was my favorite thing about this book even if I didn't like how he acted when he had his heat. He's a werecougar and soon became one of my favorite shapeshifters. Beau isn't bad boy like most of the male characters I end up loving but he's smart, funny, gorgeous and he actually acts like a gentleman.
The world is pretty interesting but I'm not liking the Alliance that much. What's up with all the different visas? It's kinda sad how Beau agreed with them about humans being weak since he's interested in Bath but I have to agree that human are much more weak than all the supernatural beings in this work like shapeshifters, vampires and even sirens.
After finishing first six chapters I expected to love this book, maybe even rating it higher than four stars but sadly I was mistaken. There were few things I had a problem with, mostly about hero and heroine's certain actions and how there was a mystery that wasn't resolved. I'm not usually big fan of shapeshifters but this book made me want to make other ones a chance.

This book was an impulse buy for me. From reading the back cover I expected something along the lines of Dakota Cassidy’s snarky, sexy, laugh out loud Accidental series. NOT. This is a light paranormal romance. It has the potential to become more and I will read the next offering.
