Okay-good. Not super touching. I remember everyone talking about this for a while (or rather seeing it in bookshelf tours, or rather remembering the striking cover and weird title). I can see why people aren't talking about this any more.

At first, I was quite confused as to why this novel is often categorized as a self-healing read. What I felt in the beginning was more discomfort than anything else. Aza’s habits—especially with her finger—were so disturbing that it made it difficult for me to keep reading.
But as I went further, I began to understand—or perhaps more accurately, to feel. Maybe it’s because I’m sensitive, or maybe I have a strong sense of empathy, but I found myself slipping into Aza’s spiral of thoughts. And from there, I realized that the chaos in her head isn’t something that can be “cured” easily. She often can’t win against the internal conversations inside her mind.

Graphic: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Self harm
2 books in a row that made me cry, but for different reasons. This was sweet, a little scary and yes, revelatory.

The Fault in Our Stars was better
Certainly this was very readable. BUT, you know how an author is always judged by his best book? Yeah, I’m guilty of that. Sorry

It is such a strange novel from the setting (billionaire life) and protagonist (bipolar teen) perspective. I would not say that all was executed perfectly but most and the rest was at least interesting to see. Not only for teenagers
