This was just the light, fun, bingeable romance I needed right this moment! I LOVED Gwyn and Wells, especially together, and all their fun high jinks on the road to happily ever after. It was quick, it was charming, and it was everything I want a witchy romance to be. Delightful!

another  cute and cozy lil witch book. while you should read the first one for context, I think I liked this one more than the first one?

spice 🌶  - a 4 🌶  spicy, but like a 4-
length - just right.
reading speed - read in ~3 days
did it make me cry? - nope

This book is trying to be so many things at once it really isn’t doing any of them. Romance is ok, sex scenes are slightly out of place, the fantasy aspect is fun but lacking in depth, prose is phrase-y and the dialogue too quipp-y for my taste. It’s a quick read for a boring autumn afternoon- nothing that’ll keep you awake at night. But kinda cute.

Such a sweet, witchy season book with all the feels! Funny, cute, mysterious and spooky (with a good helping of spice). Loved this one even more than the first book, it was great to have the crossover with Rhys & Vivi and the other brothers. Gwyn was fiery and ballsy and hilarious, and Wells was swoon-worthy. So much fun & gives all the butterflies.

i think i enjoyed this one more than the ex hex. i liked the dynamic between gwyn and wells, and the little mysterious/suspenseful subplot was enjoyable. this series reads much a like a halloween-type of hallmark movie, which isn't necessarily bad, but it isn't my favorite style.

⚠️: kidnapping, blood, violence, torture, death of parent, injury/injury detail, fire/fire injury

It was cute. It was certainly better than the first one, in my opinion. I liked Gwyn and Wells much better than Vivi and Rhys so I'm sure that played a part. I love the magical town and the cutesy Hallmark movie vibe of these books. Character development was much better in this book. I also thought the romance and the spicy stuff had better pacing in this book. I wish the author would stop trying to make "Rhiannon's tits" happen and that she was familiar with other measurements of time aside from the incredibly overused "a beat." But we cannot have everything, can we?

Just as much fun as The Ex Hex! It was great to see how the town and characters have adjusted since the last book, and to meet some new characters. I do think there was a little bit less of spooky magic stuff happening live on the page, but that space was filled with a bit more character/relationship development. I'm really eager for the next book now, this series has been a great time so far.

I did not expect to love this one more than the first, but I did!!! I adored getting to know Gwyn and Wells and really loved their characters from the get go, and I love the character development throughout. Their personalities felt realistic yet unique to read about, and I appreciated how reasonable and mature they both were, even with the third act conflict of their relationship. They started as soft enemies to rivals to allies to lovers and I loved it!! They didn’t spend excessive energy hating each other to keep the plot going which I appreciated. I also loved Sir Purrcival and the baby witches. There were a few twists towards the end (some I foresaw and some I didn’t), but I felt like the climax and resolution happened too fast. But other than that, I loved everything about this cozy witchy romance with a solid plot! The audiobook was better too because the Welsh accents were more prominent on this book than the last. I’m excited to see where the story goes in another book (hopefully!)

Cute, funny, charming, all around an enjoyable read. I feel like i   laughed more with the ex hex and the plot to ex hex was a bit more complex, but this is solidly in the same vibe.
