This book tore me apart, I have loved the movie and I knew I needed to read the book. This was absolutely brilliant and beautiful.

I’ve seen the movie multiple times, but this is the first time I’ve read the book. I really enjoyed it. The writing is immersive, but quick paced. Once Aibileen, Minny, and Skeeter come together it really takes off. I enjoyed how dimensional these characters are and how it focuses on their interactions as a small town, but also the time and place that they’re living through.
