A great novella that is, like the main books, from Hadrian’s point of view. I liked that we are getting more and more into the story of Hadrian becoming the sun eater and this novella was great cause it showed that both the human race and the Celcien can be monsters

Excellent little novella, perfectly paced and providing some juicy little nuggets of Cielcin culture.
Hadrians reflections on justice and the nature of evil are captivating.

Whilst this novella is quite short, it gets right to the point on Hadrian’s development. The character development, the foreshadowing, and the point of view are simply perfect. This book was simple yet gave me everything it needed to!
