Oddly enough this book was a little bit less dark than the previous book. But following Rick around is exhausting, he's just so incredibly annoying. And the turnover on new characters is just too fast to be enjoyable. And I want them to go out and find a way to add more fencing around the prison, they need to have a layer between the outer fence and them. At least they are farming though I have a feeling they don't eat those crops. Ugh. Zombies. Art is really good though, especially for black and white. 3.5 of 5.

Yikes. Talk about turning up the drama. The fallout of volume three leads to some major changes in group dynamics as Rick gets pushed to his leadership limits as everyone tries to make the prison a functional, long term safe haven. Relationships break down and new survivors try to find their own niche among those left.
