Enjoyed the FMCs. However, I didn’t realize this was Book 1 of a series….this probably explains why I felt like this book was uneventful and didn’t really progress.

Oh, it has been a while, so I had forgotten how well Carpenter builds these perfectly flawed characters that take us on their adventure. How these morally grey characters take the reader and draws them in for an adventure they may have not been ready for, but are HERE for it. O can't wait to read the next in this series.

Super Cool!
I wouldn’t call this paranormal romance, but I’d definitely call it an urban fantasy. This book was super cool and so well done. The world building was really interesting and definitely something I haven’t read before. I’m excited to continue this series. As the characters were very cool and I liked their development. The book almost read like a TV show which was interesting. The only thing that was a bummer, was that there was like zero spice.

Great storyline!
Great read! I didnt want to put it down. Good complex, super powerful mc who hunts down supernaturals. Loved the twists and turns in this book and cannot wait to meet the next. Love the banter and her sidekick/new bestie is almost my favorite! Depends on how this series plays outm. I hope she gets her own series!

This was a good storyline that drew me in slowly, because the action was paced fast enough that the information and backstory I needed often came later and I had to backfill my understanding of the book. But I couldn’t stop reading and by the time I got to the end, I was definitely happy to purchase the next book in the series.

What the actual eff? I was reading along, and the story was ok. I got to the part about a certain demon being in a lot of pain when someone enters the room... and the book ends. That's not a cliff hanger. That's a hot mess. I won't be reading any further in this series.

A page turner, the MC kills a lot of people unnecessarily, although I was fine with that. A new bestie friendship was surprisingly the main development of the book. TW a lot of SA threat, talk of child trafficking.
