What an amazing epic story of magic, sex, and adventure. Dom is a simple man that enjoys hunting and helps guide travelers through the mountains. He is guiding a beautiful wizard and is surprised when she offers him a recommendation letter to the magic school known as The Crux. Dom arrives at the school and is shocked to find out he has magic in his bloodline. His first few weeks are filled with lots of knowledge, budding friendships, and lots of kinky magic. When a dangerous situation calls for action Dom as well as a group of other wizards go on a quest and it is action packed. This book was so incredible! I loved the connection between the wizards and how open and honest they were. The way everyone interacted with each other was so special and safe. There are many elements of BDSM in this book and consent was stressed heavily. It really was such a beautiful representation of kink and how it can be both liberating and healing. Everyone is sleeping with everyone so we get to see many different pairings and I always appreciate and enjoy reading that. This book had the perfect balance of spice and plot and I really enjoyed the fantasy aspect of it. I would highly recommend this story if you enjoy reading books with found family, character growth, multiple partners and sharing, magic, epic fantasy adventure, lots of different kinks, and amazing connections.

This book was a wonderfully crafted story! The writing is GOOD! Sometimes copious sex-scenes does nothing to help the plot, and can almost stifle a good story. Quite the opposite here; it’s an integral part of the story line and world building, driving characters and plot forwards.
I’ve had a great time, and plan to ride this series out until the blissful end. Solid read.

This is like my 5th reread of this series in preparation for the new book and everytime I read it I fall more in love with it. I wish we had so many more books in this series but I think the author said this will be at max a 5 book series with a few novellas attached.
