Masterful

Brilliantly written page turner that not only keeps you guessing, but it keeps you coming to conclusions that turn out to be less than accurate.
It’s not often I can find a book where I’m not able to guess the outcome, ending or culprit. This one I didn’t manage to guess ANY of it right.

I enjoyed this book and the time spent character building. I know it is the first in a series and it’s a good thing because there are so many unanswered questions that I need to keep reading the series to find out more. I’m worried some answers to Jody’s life will go unanswered if the 2nd book focuses only on Evie or another case so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5, at least for now. But I’m excited to find out more about Evie’s history.
