This has been one of my favorite rom-com reads of the year!! The author makes you want to root for the characters individually and as a couple. I loved that grief was a catalyst for change without losing any levity throughout the book. Maybe I’m on the wrong side of book-social-media but I can’t believe I haven’t seen more about this one!

This was sweet!

I read very little of this genre, but sometimes it’s nice to relax into a book that’s not overly complicated and where the ending is all but guaranteed to be positive for everyone involved.

I liked the humor this author wrote with, especially their descriptions of Cade’s hippie parents. They also did a good job of giving characters lovable quirks - I thought it was a great addition that Selena, for example, had a flip cell phone where only select characters on the keypad worked.

I’d read more by this author and more of this genre! I enjoyed the silliness and lightness.

3/5 stars- polished this off during my flight today. Overall I enjoyed the writing style, and I don’t delve into LGBTQ as much as I should so I very much enjoyed that. However I found the characters initially to be a bit childish, but they did improve in depth over the course of the book. It was very funny, although at points a tad too unrealistic for me. I liked the way things came back together in the end!
