very funny

Diary of a Worm is a hilarious picture book that teachers and students will appreciate. The worm keeps a diary of his daily encounters. Students can relate to some of the worm’s experiences, but most of the worm’s life is silly and unlike our own.

Early elementary students would love to read this picture book on their own or as a read aloud. The could create a diary entry from the point of view of another bug or animal, as there are several books in a series with “Diary of a ...” titles.

Not a whole lot in the way of story, but it's cute.

This might be my favorite in Cronin's "Diary of a" set. All the familiar characters are there, but I find this one to be the funniest. The illustrations are once again, on point and done so well. The message of the importance of worms for the Earth is a great one.

Diary of a Worm is a perfect example for character voice and development. The book reads like the pages of Worm's diary, and each page is chalk full of humor! Worm's interaction with his other insect friends is sure the be enjoyed by all students, and the text is simple enough that students as young as 1st grade would be able to read it independently.

Adorable. I love rereading favorites I had when I was in elementary school.

This is the silliest picture book I have read in a long time. My fiancé and I laughed just as much as our daughter did. Great for both kids and adults alike!

Cute. I read the English version a while ago and just read the Spanish version today -- Diario de una lombriz.

I have heard about this book for some time for good reason. It is so sweet and simple enough for my three year olds. Yet, it is clever enough for my seven year old and me. My girls are now talking about being kind to worms when they were afraid of them last week. I love a good allegory.
