Well this was a pleasantly diverting story about unexpected family.
I loved Abby's journey to find her own voice with her friends and family. There are so many times we seem to get 'stuck' in a certain role or persona with our families and long term friends, and breaking out or trying something new becomes too daunting. In this case, it took Abby finding someone and learning her parents own secrets for her own to come out, allowing her to finally say what and who she wants.
Great read. Thoroughly enjoyed as the "Book about Family" prompt for 2023 Popsugar Reading challenge.

This book had such a great feeling, like it kept me warm while I was reading it. It was very wholesome and just a great read.
Abby takes a DNA test for a school project and finds out she has an exact match sister, Savannah, who lives close by. They set up a plan to go to summer camp together, to get to know each other and to figure out why Savvy was adopted.
I love a good summer camp setting, and though she resisted them at first, the friendships Abby made there were deep and meaningful. There was just enough - but not too much, or unrealistic - teen drama. Abby and Leo's friendship was so sweet and wholesome. It all wrapped up really nicely!

THIS BOOK. Ok, so I had very high hopes for You Have a Match after reading and loving Emma Lord’s other book, Tweet Cute, but my expectations were blown out of the water by this story. I love that Lord creates such a supportive cast of friends in her work and makes each character feel so real with genuine emotions and thoughts. The plot of ‘my long lost secret sister’ could have definitely gotten cheesy, but it was written and worked through in a very thoughtful way. That was also not the only point of conflict in the story and the other plot points added dimension to the story. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know because it is so heartwarming and enjoyable.
I am not the target market for this book...but even if I was, I still think its only a 3 star book. The beginning confused me....I kept thinking it must be a sequel as it kept cryptically referring to the BEI (big embarrassing incident) but it is a stand alone book.
The whole premise was too far-fetched/improbable for me.
