I got about 25% through this before putting it down for something else, then came back to it a couple weeks later and gave up at 85%. It says something that I wouldn't just rip the bandaid off and finish the last 15%.
Some of my issues with this book:
-The silly cursing -- commit or don't do it, it made the main character come off exceptionally immature on top of all the whining. Something about a heroine that says "F*** turd" just makes me roll my eyes.
- The 2 teenagers-- having them in the book wasn't the problem, it was the circular dialogue that added nothing but distraction, it dominated the book and made many parts of the book a headache to follow.
I guess I'm in the minority on this one, but I could not even come close to liking any of the characters and the story never really seemed to take off for me. This one just wasn't for me.

I found her voice very irretating and nervewracking but the the Rest of the Story was very likeble alltough its nothing unique. I will still listen to the next book

Alexis was hilarious, and I love her two wards, Daisy and Mordecai.
Kieran I found a bit domineering, the way he basically inserted himself into her life. I can't really blame him because he needs her to, but at least he's aware of it and he's trying to do better.
Really excited to read the next couple of books since it seems like there's so many ways this could go now that we know what Alexis is, and it feels like we only scratched the surface of the world and its characters.

Yeah - okay this one was fun. 7 weeks later, I’m still thinking about it. I guess I’ll continue the series.
this book was ok, the fmc was super annoying and the dialogue between her and the mmc wasn't believable. the story is interesting and has potential but i wanted more.
