I loved the wittyness and sarcasm, though at one point it became a little too much. The author has good humor making me laugh and smile while reading which was a nice change for me. There wasn't much for action, it felt like the book kept gearing up for it and then nothing would really happen. I still enjoyed this book and plan to read the next one. Come to think of it, this one almost feels like a prequel.
I always really enjoy reading books where the author has to figure out how the paranormal lives among regular humans, and this book has an interesting set up for it. I started this for a book club and got quickly sucked into it once the plot took off.
When the two meddling teenagers are the best characters in this story. The adults can't have a normal sounding conversation to save their lives.

This series excels at being exactly what it is - an absolute snack of a story. The FMC is snarky, clueless, and loveable - a lá Stephanie Plum. This delightful romp & the 5 following books have had a permanent spot on my KU list for years until I finally bought them all. Now I'm buying them in physical copies b/c I enjoy them that much. I've probably reread the whole series 6 times - they've become a comfort read.
