So boring!

Almost gave it 4 stars! But the beginning just was very slow! It took over half the book before I felt really engaged with the story. There was a lot of fun interesting twists. Ended very well.

Not my thing

I really enjoyed this book, but it wasn't a thriller. I'd give it ⭐⭐ as a thriller and ⭐⭐⭐⭐ as fiction. So I settled in the middle.

I read an ARC.

I didn't catch on at first that this book was set in the early 2000s. Otherwise, two interesting narrators tell a story of motherhood and female agency that will make for, I suspect, a very enjoyable book club discussion. I felt like things wrapped up a bit too neatly in the end, but that can be satisfying too.
