Gripping novel that addresses complex issues related to motherhood, relationships, xenophobia, sexism and more. The author skillfully dropped hints throughout the novel that were fun to try and pick up on as a reader.  The whole thing really earned its stars in the last third! The story really came together and I couldn’t stop reading.

Overall I enjoyed this book, and following the story of the main character. Some twists that I didn't expect made it interesting but other readers may see through these.

Deux histoires parallèles qui se rencontrent et qui se mélangent. J'ai beaucoup aimé l'approche de rédaction. Le style est plutôt lent, mais ça déboule à la fin, un peu trop précipité même.

Excellente histoire, les doubles standards et le racisme ordinaire sont très bien dépeints.

Oof so like this is a great story, let down by writing. The dialogue sounds like it’s straight out of a telenovela. There’s a lot of dramatic running away. And I don’t really get why we have romance line A cause it doesn’t do anything.
