Compelling story and tension however some parts were written poorly. E.g. the doctor advising that rape could cause Ayla's PTSD. No doc should be discussing this with any of them or making such assumptions. Or Nikolay saying he was diagnosed with PTSD within two days . It also frustrated me with the back and forth between the FMC and MMC, sometimes it felt like the author was grasping at straws to keep them apart. Would have been more believeable if she stuck to one main reason for the hesitation of both sides.

This book is the first installment of The Tainted heart series. It is about Two Mafia clan. Russian mafia versus Italian Mafia. While Alessio is ruthless, he's changed when met Ayla who was abused by the enemy. Little did he know Ayla was from the family that he hated from the guts.

this was the first book, and I liked it, but it gave me wattpad-y vibez, nothing special, nothing bad

The plot has potential but the execution leaves much to be desired. The wrote is quite cringe at times and the insta lust/love is kinda hard to read. Pure Wattpad nostalgia is what's keeping me going but I'm pretty sure if I read it for the first time after it was a published book I would have not liked it in the least

This is my favorite mafia series. I love Alessio and Ayla. The plot was great, the love story was fantastic. These characters invoked a lot of emotion. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire series.

Welp. I finished this in ONE sitting. I just couldn’t put this book down! Alessio is a mafia boss with no commitment to anyone but his club. Now that Ayla entered his life..he can’t let her go..ugh this book was emotional and raw and so good! 4.5⭐️
