"Lover? I don't know... I don't know if she loves me. I don't know if I love her. All I can say is, she's the one I think about all the time. She's the voice I want to hear. She's the face I hope to see."
---- Sam Roxton, Ch.16

She lost it. The one thing in the world that she's not supposed to lost----- her engagement ring! The heirloom ring of the Tavishes. And her fiancé's parents are coming in that very same day! And yeah, her phone got stolen too! What the hell, Poppy Wyatt??!

Luckily, there's a phone in the trash bin! Poppy took the phone out and considered the thing as hers now. Perfect. Finders keepers. Besides, *if it's in the bin, it's public property* right? Yeah, indeed, but not so fast Poppy because Sam Roxton, the owner of that company phone wants it back!

I can't move on! I still can't believe that I finished reading this book already! I want more! I've Got Your Number is full of crazy and ridiculous scenes that will make you smile and laugh like an idiot. Don't worry, I am still sane and fine. But really, it's hard to just move on when you read the whole book and you got nothing to do but ship Poppy and Sam the entire time. It's kinda crazy in a way that you will wait impatiently for this two to be together. This is highly addictive and it's so hard to put down, I even don't want their story to be over.

The characters, Poppy and Sam, God, these pair is soooooo perfect. They are both great, rounded characters that you can easily relate yourself with. Even if they are the exact opposite of each other, still you can't resist to ship them. Sam is the serious type, controlled, confident and he is the person who's not really chatty. This is what makes Poppy misunderstood him a lot for being a snob or stoic. Meanwhile, Poppy is overly friendly, kind, but also nosy, protrusive in a way that she thinks *she only wants to help*, insecure and hates confrontations. I love their chemistry. They are cute and funny, especially when they are thrown in sticky (funny) situations.

The plot is good! Well-written. Sure there's the whole thing about the lost engagement ring then followed by the phone that Poppy picked up from the trash bin. It's so hilarious to read and discover how everything will go for Poppy. There were many funny twist and turns in this story that I didn't seen it coming, some were totally mortifying but hilarious. I said that there were many funny scenes, yes, but my favorite is the SCRABBLE scene with Poppy and the Tavish family. Imagine playing scrabble with a family of genius people and the least word you can think of to lay is *PIG*. Lol. Ah, here's one more! The party at Savoy. Yes! Poppy gatecrashed on this party assuming that Sam wouldn't attend but turns out that he's there. Haha.. Lots of embarassing moments happened here involving the email messages that she sent to Sam's collegues in his name. As for my favorite scene, I have read this particular scene that made me all gushing for Sam and Poppy. It was the night that they were together on woods. For me it is the defining moment where the two of them felt the same way for each other. Sometimes you don't need a dialogue to determine it, the characters action is enough to show it. That's what makes me also love Sophie Kinsella's way of writing. The ending, well I'm not gonna spoil any detail of it but it is lovely. Lovely, even if I don't want it to end. Lovely even if my heart aches a bit that this story has no book 2, lol. She wrapped up the story in a memorable way possible for her readers.

To end this review, Sophie Kinsella really made my day good and full of vibe with her novel. I love her writing style. I saw her other works and I am looking forward to read her orher books. I know I am a little bit late for this book, but hey, I think there is no such thing as being late with a good book! Crazy and full of humor, reading I've Got Your Number feels like watching a good rom-com movie. Definitely deserves a 5-rating star. I guarantee you all those who loves chick-lit or rom-com, this is the book for you. It will make your day feel good.

I pretty much love all Sophie Kinsella heroines. This one was no exception.

5 stars and favorite.
Kinsella's best. Woman loses engagement ring then gets her cellphone stolen. Finds a phone in a trash bin that belongs to a company. The owner needs it back but she won't give it to him.

This had a good plot and character developments. This might be my favorite Kinsella book. Heroine and hero communicate a lot through texts and emails. There wasn't much interaction between the two. I think that the distance was perfect. It allowed the heroine to decide on her own if she wants to marry the man she's been engaged to throughout the story. I really liked this plot and writing style.

Hacía tiempo que no me reia tanto con un libro

This is your typical Sophie Kinsella novel- starts off happy, something strange happens, then the plot twists, the issue seems resolved, the plot twists back around on itself, and finally the HEA.

i am not normally the type to leave a review, but i must express how much i disliked this book. I was trying to give chick-lit a second chance after it left a bad taste in my mouth 6 or 7 years ago- but this book is just RIDICULOUS. as i see the other reviews i realize i stand alone in my opinion, but i stand by it nonetheless.
The main character lies, cheats, steals, and deceives throughout the entire book. There is not once 'scene' where she was an honest woman with integrity and grace. She kept putting herself in situations where she was in over her head, but she just lied and kept on going! she is rude, she breaks the law, she is scatterbrained and unorganized, she is a bit slutty.. why would i want to real a book where women are portrayed this way? i could go on and on.
Another thing that bothers me is she is getting married in a few weeks and she never really 'talks' to her fiance'. they dont text or call each other, or eat dinner together. nothing. (or at least it mentions nothing, other than how self-involved she is.)
im glad i read this book so i can steer clear of chick lit forever. women are not airheads who lie and steal to get what they want. and not every woman has to have a man in her life to be happy.
phew.
glad thats all out.

Sophie Kinsella's books are so much fun! I related to many of Poppy's struggles and found myself really pulling for her. Awesome ending!
emotional funny lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I loved MOST of this book; the ending was WAY too much like some Hollywood Rom-Com for me! I really appreciated how Kinsella created a plot that deviated from her standard plots. I really enjoyed it! :)

In the midst of a hotel fire drill Poppy Wyatt loses her engagement ring, an heirloom in her fiancé's family. If that weren't bad enough somebody steals her cellphone. Then she finds an abandoned cellphone in a garbage bin and decides to keep it so that the hotel has a number to contact her at if they find the ring.

Sam, the owner of the phone is less than thrilled with Poppy taking his phone; but he reluctantly agrees to let her borrow it until her ring is found as long as she forwards all of his messages to him. Hilarious events unfold as Poppy is flooded with Sam's business emails, emails from Sam's crazy ex-girlfriend, and cryptic voice mails from an unknown caller amongst her own wedding worries. Her wedding planner treats her like its her fault she has to work and her in-laws who intimidate her make her feel inadequate.

This book is hilarious. I loved it, and I never wanted to put it down. I'd give it 6 stars if I could! If you don't think this book is funny then you don't have any sense of humor!
