a fun and fast read! im a person who likes to read the last page first and it totally pissed me off cause the ending sounded like poppy was still getting married to magnus after everything that he's done. i almost decided to dnf it just because of that. i dont tolerate men, sorry not sorry. but then i was like "okay maybe the book is gonna rewrite itself and make her NOT marry magnud." it did not, in fact, rewrite itself. but she DID NOT actually marry magnus in the end. it just looked like if you read the last page without any context at all. yey!
another thing i hate— poppy's so called "bestest friend ever" annalise. damn if THATS what "bffs" are, then i dont ever want one. she keeps flirting with magnus— touching him inappropriately, talking to him a husky voice, trying to get him alone, and keeps making comments about how he was hers and was supposed to marry her! and poppy MY GOD POPPY! she keeps justifying her saying that "thats annalise for you" BITCH?! if i was her, i wouldve cut her off already and uninvited her to the wedding

I'm really glad I read this book, even though it may be cliché, etc.
I really wanted to like this book, however I found it to be just ok. Some of the events that unfolded seemed unrealistic. I also felt like some of the events were forced or that Kinsella was trying too hard to make it all work. A positive would be that the book was a lighter/quick read.
I’m finally reading things that have been on my tbr for years. Pretty much all Sophie Kinsella are lol.
This wasn’t what I expected. I guess I thought they’d be communicating online and not meet in real life until later. But that wasn’t the case. They knew who the other was so it wasn’t a big reveal.
I also really like that Sophie Kinsella books aren’t just about the romance. There is so much more. This one also has a lot to do with Sam and his business and how Sophie helped him!
There were definitely times I wanted to shake Poppy and tell her how she deserved so much better than Magnus. And Sam was great at treating her as an equal and caring for her without making her feel even more anxious.
Overall, this was one of my fav SK books!
5/5
