I have sorely missed reading Soohie Kinsella's books. I remember this was one of my favorites alongside Can You Keep a Secret and of course, the Shopaholic Series.
Poppy and Sam's love story may have been a bit strange and unconventional (and borderline improbable) but I loved it. I still love it. They're cute and I can't help but feel giddy whenever they would text each other. I would definitely be reading this again if I'm in the mood for a quirky rom-com novel.

I will start out by saying that I really like listening to Sophie Kinsella books. I know there will be problems, things will seem like they can never work out, and they do in the end. Publishers Weekly says that this was rollicking good ride and I agree.
I want to give this book 2.5 stars. The beginning drove me absolutely nuts. I've detected a theme in the last couple Sophie Kinsella books I've read. There seems to be a lot of painfully unnecessary lying and meddling in other people's lives. The first half of this book was packed with so much lying I almost couldn't bear to finish it, but I soldiered on. The second half of the book didn't disappoint. Happyish endings are my kryptonite, so this book gets rounded up to 3 stars.

It was a good book to read in between sad books. :) I enjoyed this book but the ending. It seemed unrealistic and just inappropriate. The book couldve ended better. But all in all I liked it. :)

such a cute book. the author uses footnotes throughout the book to supplement the story and add a twist to protagonist's voice. will be reading more of sophie's work :)
