when i was teenager i could write 5 stars because-
"oh its Remarque, i should write 5, no matter what i think" ; " people are writing 5 stars, how i dare to write less?"; "what people will think" ; "The world knows better than me, i should write 5" '; "maybe i just can't understand, others are smarter, sooo... 5"

now-i dare to say- i do not like it, it was boring, too tragic for me, simple, with some extraordinary , wise phrases. characters are good, i love them, but storyline -NO. i think i should have read it earlier.

Интересно, что автору удается писать так, что ты воспринимаешь только эмоции людей и антураж далекого уже времени остается не столь виден.
Быт этих людей кардинально отличался от нашего, но читая роман ты об этом не задумываешься.

На мой вкус роман менее интересен, чем Триумфальная арка. Но это уже индивидуально - здесь больше о взаимоотношениях, там больше о индивидуальных ощущениях.

И нравится что в сравнительно небольшом тексте автор полностью раскрыл тему.
Объем микроскопический по сравнению с теми бесконечными потоками текста, что гонят многие современные писатели. Но нет ощущения что что-то недосказано.
