I had to DNF at 40%. I agree with the other review that mentions the title being super misleading...I think I got this from a tiktok recommendation and knew very little about it heading in, and assumed from the title that there would be some tension or refusal to join a pack or something. Nope, just 500 pages of the FMC being super insecure and needing constant reassurance. That might make this book the perfect cup of tea for some people, but it's just not my type of heroine.
Also, no M/M in an omegaverse is always SUCH a bummer.

Good very character driven omegaverse story.
One of my favorite omegaverse books.
Esme is riddled with insecurities from living in her sister Eva's shadow. If it wasn't the men her mother made her try to court or her mother herself it's no wonder she is the way she is.
I love that her sister was her bff. Their bond reminded me of my sisters and I.
There's definitely an insta-attraction but because of Esme's anxieties it was more of a medium burn
Her pack is so incredibly patient and understanding with her. They don't look down on her or ridicule her for her any of it. They want to help her overcome the things holding her back from being herself.
Even when Esme had a hard time believing it her men had no issues showing up and making it known they want her. Being able to see Esme bloom and come out of her shell throughout the book was a real treat that tugged at my heartstrings.
I'm constantly coming back to this book and I don't think I'll ever stop.

Excruciatingly boring
1.5
DNF 45%, that was more than enough to make my rating.
I absolutely cannot round up on this because I tried so many times to finish it and it’s so boring. The writing is not bad from a technical aspect, and normally that alone would mean maybe 2 stars. In fact I could see someone liking this, but there is nothing going on. *Nothing * at* all*. The fact that this book is so boring it’s painful made me round down because I seriously want my time back.
Esmy is also a horrible heroine. It’s hard to feel empathetic for her because her drama seems so stupid. Her sister is famous, she’s bummed because she loves her sister but the paparazzi is obsessed with HER life for some dumb ass reason? Illogical. She’s also so self depreciating while also perfect she’s just kinda hard to like. Hard pass on this one for me.
The title also indicates the FMC may have some sass. She has zero sass, she’s a wet angel hair pasta noodle that’s overcooked.
Yuck.

I'm so disappointed that I didn't love this as much as I thought I would. it felt like the plot was dragging on, and while I love the premise, it felt like some of the plot points and events were sorta just repeating and became redundant.
Maybe I'll give it another chance, but alas, I don't think it's for me.
thank goodness for acotar rn, 2023 is not a good reading year up to now

This is a sweet Omegaverse read that will have you sighing over the fellas and their thoughtfulness with Esme, the fmc. The angst was a good build in the beginning, then it fell off a bit in the middle as the relationships progressed, but the end delivered on the culmination where Esme's perceived inadequacies met the determinedness of the pack to show her how much they loved and cared for her. I loved how close Esme was with her twin Eva and that Eva stuck up for Esme with their mom. Had a bit of Lola and the Millionaire vibes, which is great, but the story was totally different. I enjoyed the protectiveness and kindness in the harem. Great read for sweet OV fans!
Loooved!
Ummm... where has Sinclair been in my life!?!?! I loved this story so hard! Of course I saw this on tiktok and decided to give it a try...so glad I did! I think I found a new favorite author!

Hmmm...I can't tell you who is who in reality once the book is said and done. I read this thinking I would be really into it and what kept me going was the struggles that Esme went through with always feeling second best. The title, as others have mentioned, is misleading. You will not find a headstrong female lead, she is extremely insecure and lets her thoughts get the better of her. I think that the only stand outs were Ben and Rylan. Ben because we meet him first and Rylan because he has alpha tendencies but isn't one. The other 3 were there but their differences came from their sexual preference. I wish that the author had described their features more as I continued reading because only mentioning it once at the beginning was easy to forget. I couldn't recall who looked like what and what tattoos made them different. I mean, they are all tattoo artists and that was hardly talked about in terms of their style, the ink on their bodies, etc. There were a plethora of sex scenes but none of them were that stand out. Overall, an okay book for the omegaverse but not that strong. I did enjoy the writing though.
