Something with the writing style didn't work for me. I also didn't care to know every time they "made love"
This book was so good and pretty sad. It filled in the other side of the story from The Stranger Beside Me and I’m so glad I read it.

This book is about the author's life with Ted Bundy, the infamous serial killer..so is incredibly disturbing.
I have mixed feelings about this book. It was really interesting to see this story play out from a different point if view. I learned a lot of things about Ted Bundy that I hadn't heard before. It was weird and fascinating to find out what he was like when he wasn't killing people. I think the author wrote this book to try to make herself seem less flaky than the media portrayed her. The problem is I came away from this book thinking she was more of a nitwit than I did to begin with. If there is one thing I will take away from this it's always follow your gut because if something doesn't feel right it's probably not!
At first I was reading this book thinking, “oh no, Liz…c’mon girl, we’re better than this.” But the afterword and then MOLLY’S CHAPTER….
This was her experience and it’s pretty chilling to read. I’m glad she wrote updates to assure us that how she felt back then has since changed. The power of time and perspective. The additional memories from her daughter are pretty heartbreaking.
The updated version was good because it has new chapters with Liz and Molly. It's surreal to see a man like Ted Bundy carrying on a normal family existence knowing about his crimes.I'm glad Liz has come so far and I understand her cringing at some of the things she'd written in the past, but I saw the book as her in the beginning stages of healing and finally seeing the man she loved for who he was.
It was so interesting to really see just how manipulative he was towards her. I had always wondered how she could stay by him for as long as she did, and now I get it! She is definitely a survivor and so is Molly!
