Thankfully there was not a lot of detail surrounding the murders. There was, however, a sad story about an insecure alcoholic single mother, who will always have to live with her choices. It was frustrating to hear about how the police handled things when she was first suspicious. The most upsetting part of this book was Molly’s story (in the updated edition), which gave the most detailed glimpse into the monster he truly was.

This Boole has shaken me to my core. To read a first hand account of two people who loved and and felt loved by such a monstrous man. It was heartbreaking and sobering. These women endure so much and never deserve to feel invalidated for the torment that man put them through, despite it not being the worst he’s done.

Read Liz’s story. And go into it with an open mind.

I couldn’t rate this with stars if my life depended on it. Instead, I’m rating this FG for “fucking gross” which is how this book made me feel. Definitely recommend!!! It’s insane.

I loved finally getting to hear this story from Liz. I can’t even begin to imagine how Liz and her daughter Molly felt finding out who Ted Bundy really was. Hearing about the grief and guilt they both felt for who he was was heartbreaking but so interesting to read about. I loved hearing Molly’s afterward and how she dealt with all of this being practically a baby (age 3) when she first met Ted. A very good read!

I really appreciate Elizabeth Kendall’s vulnerability in originally sharing her story, and for updating the preface and afterward as she went through her healing journey.
