Far too apologetic with little to no emotion.

I’ve always been interested in true crime. Not about the killer but by the people involved. That the perpetrators can live seemingly double lives and leave other victims behind. I’d never been interested in Bundy hoopla. He’s been elevated to god like status when really he failed out of classes all the time and wasn’t as successful as everyone acts like he had the potential to be (in lore). Stole things regularly. Manipulated everyone on a good day. Talk of him being a charming smart guy really goes out the window when you hear about his daily life. Hearing from the perspectives of the people in his life was fascinating. They offer so much to the story and it’s obvious the years of knowing him haunted them for years as well.

If you have ever wondered how many red flags a person can ignore, this story has about one per page. Luckily, this story ended well. Cautionary tale.

I am glad I am able to read the updated version of this book, with new insight from Elizabeth Kendall as well as her daughter. The original content is all Ted Bundy through rose colored glasses. It is frustrating to read.
