I'm burning through audio books because I got like 5 of them that all became available at the same time from the library.
This was a really good Reacher book. It has several of the touchstones and earmarks that you can expect, but it presented everything very well.
The timetable is pretty clear once things really start moving, and the pacing is very well handled.
It's also nice to see characters that react in ways that make sense for their professions. People in the Intelligence Community react to things in way that make sense for their positions. They realize their mistakes very quickly and act to fix those mistakes as quickly as possible.
Overall I really liked this. I like the books where you get to see Reacher have a purpose right from the start. He doesn't have to figure out if something is going on, he's presented with the problem outright and told to solve it. I like that kind of focus from this character. Lee Child has woken 21 of these and their still holding up pretty well. That gives me hope for 22.

A return to Reacher’s military days, this one blends espionage, global threats, and classic detective work. Seeing Reacher still in uniform, working within the system (but always pushing its limits), adds a fresh angle. It’s a solid mix of military fiction and international intrigue, making it a great read for those who enjoy his past cases.
Reacher in the big city always hits better for me. I just know I am in for a book that I love when I see him in a big city. Bonus points for this book having Neagley in it
This is another flashback book to when Reacher was still in the military. This involves Jihadists that want to harm the US and the western world (guess when this was written....).
I know some fans really dislike the flashback books but I like filling in Jacks backstory a little more with each one. It's an enjoyable read with an interesting plot.

A return to form for Lee Child after a few run of the mill additions to the Jack Reacher saga. funnily enough it may be because he has produced an adventure from earlier in Jacks' military career - if things go worng go back to the start!
