This was a fun Contemporary romance that was a quick read. I love reading books set in Florida, my home state. The Little Bridge Island books are set in an island of the FL Keys. You see some familiar faces pop up in school book but they really are just companions. They can be read a stand alone books.
Lovely and brings up some #metoo and hurricane issues in a thoughtful way, yet maintains a strong romance vibes.
I really liked the fact that the title was actually integrated into the story, multiple times in fact. I enjoyed the whole concept of No Judgments. I love all the crazy puppers and the fact that our MC gets her revenge on... more than one person. I do wish that the hurricane had been a little more... I don't know, exciting? There was so much build up to it, but it kind of just fizzled out. I Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
3.5 stars. This was a cute story, but the main character was annoyingly naive at times. The publisher also oversold the story for animal lovers, as the “saving animals” part didn’t really come into play until the last quarter of the story. I probably won’t continue with this series.
Okay, so I LOVE Meg Cabot. Like, absolutely adore. I've read most of her books (like, 40-50 books) and I've been a fan since my tween years.
But man, this book was SUCH a miss for me. It feels like a poorly developed, first draft of a novella. It's really half baked, the supporting characters are so under-developed and one note, and the plot takes forever to get going and then finishes way too quickly. Also, the climax with was SO unexpected and out of left field and just weird. It just did not work for me. Still love Meg, still will read everything she does, but this one just did not land well at all.

Overall all a good read, it was a little slow for me, but the last 10-15 chapters were great!
