I don’t know what’s going on, but I keep picking up some boring books lately. DNF over 50% of the way through. Just could not push through. I liked the hurricane facts that were thrown into the book. This book tales place on Little Bridge Island (a fictional place part of the Florida Keys). being from Florida, I did like the vibes I was getting from the setting, but the characters were just horrible and I didn’t care about what was happening.

This was a cute audiobook! I really enjoyed reading about Bri and her love of animals and art! The romance was cute. I liked how real Bri was about Kyle and Caleb and how she stood up for herself to them.
What girl hasn't felt the need to find herself at some point in life? I mean if I could I would run away to live on an island in a heartbeat. That is exactly was Bree does. While beginning to build her life she ends up smack in the middle of a major weather event and chooses not to leave. Even though she swears of boys as she is finding herself, Mother Nature has other plans and throws Drew right into her path.
While I adored the premise of the book, I wanted a little more. I loved watching the relationship blossom, but the simi slow burn that is set up does not seem to reach as high of a climax as I would have liked. The end of the story wraps up nicely, but it almost is too neat. It felt like everything was put in a gift bag two seconds before being dropped off at the birthday party, complete but not in the most neat package. There was no cliffhanger so I am wondering what the next book in the series will be about.

A sweet story with a fun hurricane build up, but I couldn’t stand the romantic lead.
This novel was super cute! I liked how expansive the story was, how we got to see the small town life. The entire Hurricane plot line was excellent! I was actually scared for the characters! I wanted more interaction between the main character and the love interest though! But overall it was adorable. Definitely a feel good novel.
