OOOOOO boy this book was BORING. This was the only entertainment I had available during a camping trip so I finished it fast but I fell asleep during it MULTIPLE times. In fact, only a couple months later I've already almost completely forgotten what happens in this book. The misogyny from the author hit hard in this book, especially towards Beth. She's always described as just different stages of her pregnancy, and her labor is written out to be as if it lasted less than an hour! As a woman, this upset me. The only exciting part of this book was the little heist at the end to catch Rashidi and even then it was still frustrating how it barely even worked. Let alone the plot hole that Rashidi's name changes between this book and the next one with 0 explanation. I got almost no indication of who Rashidi is as a person as most of this book is spent following more minor antagonists that don't ultimately matter. The book ends with a cliffhanger that makes this book feel unfinished and just a setup for the next one. This book along with the first one can most definitely be skipped in this series. Boring, too much of a focus on boring art and boring characters. I almost didn't read the 3rd book but glad I did as it was better than these last 2 and the 3 end books were fantastic.

I typically love Jeffrey Archer’s books, but this one was not my favorite. William Warwick has been promoted and is chasing after a drug lord as well as a man trying to cheat his soon to be ex-wife out of her proceedings from the divorce.
Hopefully book 3 in this series will hold my interest better.

I found the ending very disappointing, I think the author was more keen to set up the next book rather than finish this one properly.

Hidden in Plain Sight is the second in Jeffrey Archer's Detective William Warwick series. The team moves from investigating art fraud cases to going after the biggest drug king pin in London. They know who he is but they don't know what he looks like or where he runs his business. Warwick is coming up against another smart adversary but is he smarter than Warwick or can Warwick's team win.
I enjoyed the story. The villain from book one is still a main part of this story. Now I did not read that one but I am told enough information for that story line to not confuse me. I like that it is set in 1980s London, which is different than current detective stories (now you either get historical or modern but small town). Finally this was a quick read so I will probably get book three, Archer did leave a cliffhangerish ending.
