Tess's internal dialogue was so wishy washy.
She exerted this strong fighter on the outside, but on the inside she drove me crazy.

The story is good, premise is capturing, but the dialogue is jarring in places. The self-talk and self-hate for Tess's unexplored proclivities is cringey and repetitive.
I read this to try out before I read her newest series. I'm hoping that because this is an earlier work, her newer stuff has matured in writing and editing.

4.5 deliciously dangerous stars. Dark and twisted is not my thing. I prefer small bouts of darkness with lots of light but for some reason I just can't seem to get enough of this.
Wow this book was amazing. I over looked the waffling of emotions that tell had, I figured with everything she was going through, I would be like that too. If you are looking for a dark gritty romance with a HEA this is the book for you. This story is told all in Tess's view until the end when it switches to Q's view.
This is definitely a dark erotica. I'd love to see this as a movie!

Pepper is by far one of my all time favorite authors and not just of the dark persuasion ;-) Having only recently starting reading this genre right before finding Tears of Tess back in March of 2015, I fell in love with Pepper's writing and dark imagination in this book. This was THE book that brought me to her so it will forever be my favorite. I felt for Tess within moments of starting and like everyone else hated and then grew to love Q... This book was moving, powerful and simply beyond words. An absolute MUST READ for all dark lovers!!!
Loved loved this book can't wait for the second one.
