Finally read a pepper winters book but honestly didnt really enjoy it? This is a dark romance. It’s not sunshine, rainbows, poems, and glitter. Both characters have deep rooted issues. It does involve human trafficking as well as rape and other similar actions so tread carefully. Even so, the story was really well done and I didn’t want to put it down.

Thoughts: Interesting read.
I was surprised by how much I liked this book. I spent some it not sure what I thought but overall it was extremely good. It reminded me of the dark duets series but not so dark and depressing. This one has a great ending and i finished it feeling pleased and satisfied with the story.

Wow. Tragedy, brutality, possession, lust, passion there are so many adjectives to describe this book. I initially shied away from reading it due to the subject matter but I kept seeing it pop up, and the reviews were great. I loved the way Pepper wrote about Tess and Q. To make me love a monster was surprising. I read it in a night, and of course had to read the next one right away.
